Nigella Mason es la antigua prometida de Mycroft Holmes y una aristócrata británica.
Biografía[]
Nigella era la prometida de Mycroft y la marquesa de Loudwater. El hermano de Mycroft, Sherlock, sospechaba que a ella sólo le interesaba el dinero de Mycroft, y la sedujo para demostrarlo (Step Nine).
Mantuvo el título de Marquesa de Loudwater, tras su matrimonio con el Muy Honorable Señor Loudwater, Robert Suffolk, el Marqués. Terminó su matrimonio y gracias a su acuerdo prenupcial, fue con uno de los caballos del marqués, el semental Silver Blaze. Diez semanas después, el caballo murió de una insuficiencia cardíaca, por lo cual usó al hermano de Silver Blaze para el mismo objetivo: ser la proxeneta del caballo semental. En esta estafa se involucró con el cartel de Robles, en concreto con el hombre llamado Joaquin Aguilar, que al descubrir el timo, quiso matarla. Con la ayuda de los hermanos Holmes y de Joan Watson logra salir ilesa. Más tarde, Mycroft la obliga a pagar a todas las víctimas de la estafa y usar el dinero de Aguilar para empezar una nueva vida, supervisando los pagos los propios Mycroft y Sherlock.
